They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Since we launched Blue Witch ceramics online over 20 years ago, they have become one of the most copied handmade gift products on the internet. All our imitators have done is proven how much expertise, time and love goes into making just one of our ceramic pieces. The attention to detail on a Blue Witch mug is verging on obsession.

It starts with the moulds which are continuously improved and refined to provide incredible detail and definition. The next ingredient is precision casting and firing. This is an ever-evolving process. The final element is of course the painting. Each piece is individually hand painted by a highly skilled classical artist with an excruciating attention to detail. The entire cycle takes over two weeks and it’s a highly selective process of what makes the final grade

All of these ingredients combined are what gives Blue Witch products that vibrant character and three-dimensional definition that makes them pop.

We are based in the UK established our family run business in 1999. We have a passion for all things handmade, ethical and crafted.

We can count our significant suppliers on one hand. They are located in Thailand, Italy and India and all of them are family run businesses, just like us. We have been working closely with them for 20 years and would consider all of them to be our friends and in a way also family.
